Outlook 2002 Blue Background

Help !!!!
I just got this job where the computer has XP and Office
2002... All of the incoming messages to Outlook are coming
with a dark blue background. I can not get this removed.
Also, a new message page will default to the blue
background and I have to manually change it, per message.
The blue background also shows up on my name header when I
print an e-mail. I cannot read the e-mails because there
is always a light font on this dark blue background. I
have gone into every nook & cranny in this machine to
remove this background, but all the settings are on white
background and auto (black) font. I don't know what to do
and I really need help, please.
Thank you for any help.

Delete the normal.dot and email.dot. They will be recreated as the new
machine default, white background, black text.
