Changing appearance of Outlook Today

My outlook today view shows a dark blue background. When
I checked Help, it told me to go to "Customize Outlook
Today..." When I click on it, it shows the button being
depressed, but no menu. Anyone know another way I can
change the blue background? It's really dark and makes it
hard to read.
