Outlook 2002 Archive function not working

Hello,

Please blast me in the right direction if I've missed the RTFM's

Running Oulook 2002 connected to Exchange Server 2000. Bumping my head against the 16GB limit on our message store. So I am trying to archive messages off the store and onto user shares. Archive appears to be working (I see the folders flashing by on the bottom right of the screen), but the messages aren't moving.

Microsoft Support Article 297226 references the archive function not working if the message store is full....however I can still receive new emails and am "assuming" that if the message store was full, I wouldn't be able to receive or send any messages?????

Has anyone had any experience with this type of problem?
