Outlook 2007 fails to archive and certain messages will not delete

Hi brain trust. I need your help.
I'm running Outlook 2007 with Vista.

I suspect these problems are related. I am unable to delete certain
messages out of my inbox. They appear to be messages with a large number of
recipients. I get an error message stating "The Folder is Full". I've seen
this discussed here before, but not sure there was a solution posted.

The other problem is that my archiving will not work properly. It starts,
moves a few messages, then stops leaving thousands of archiavable messages in
the various folders, unarchived. There should be no problem with the dates.
I get an error message stating "Error While Archiving" and there is a report
that appears in my Deleted Items folder. The report just says "Error While
Archiving folder X in store "Personal Folders"

There appear to be two data files of the following names and sizes that are
being used by the system.
Outlook 3.11 Gigabytes
Outlook1 600 Megabytes

I've tried to compact the files, doesn't seem to do much. I've run the
Office Diagnoistics and that found no errors.

Any ideas please?

Can you delete the message if you hold Shift when you click Delete?

I'd create a new archive PST, making sure it's a Unicode PST.

Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to see which of these is in use for
each profile you have.

The messages WILL delete when I hold the shift Key! Thanks for that!

I have created a new Archive. Not sure how to make sure it's Unicode
though. It still failed to work.

Both of those PST folders appear to be active. Both have today's date,
although different time stamps on them. Could it be one for each POP account
I have?

That tends to indicate something's not right with the Deleted Items folder.
Have you tried the Inbox Repair Tool on your PSTs?

If you created it new and did not explicitly tell it to create an Outlook
97-2002 PST, then it's Unicode.

Do you see them in on the Data Files tab?
