Outlook 2000: Retrospectively changing order of "file as" in Contacts?

Problem: 600 contacts, all of them "filed as" "last, firstname".
They need to be "first, lastname". So I changed preferences, logged off
(as per suggestions on the net) and restarted, but still they remain
"last, first". Apart from changing everyone manually (impossible) is
there any other way to make this mass change?

Thanks

There are tools that will change the values for you. See this, for example:
http://www.outlook-stuff.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_details/gid,1/Itemid,2/
