Where can I get the Outlook 2000 Post-Service Pack 3
Hotfix Package: January 13, 2004? Outlook 2000 sp3 won't
exit, because we have connected to those mailboxes with
Outlook 2003 go figure? See Knowledge Base 834005

When contacting Microsoft through the drawn out support
wizard; because it is an OEM Product Key they refer you
to the OEM vendor in this case Dell, who then wants you
to pay an incident fee. The problem is that we have
purchsed Outlook 2003 and have existing Outlook 2000
clients and I don't think you should have to pay for a
fix to the same product that is sold as compatible. Why
are the hot fixes (for their product which their product
broke)not available on microsoft's site for download?

A hotfix is usually not given out for a public download because it may cause
your computer to be in worse shape if the exact thing is not happening as
what the hotfix describes. It becomes a download when they do an update, so
it would sp-4 and who knows how long that will be if at all

Because a hotfix often needs additional testing. If you contact Microsoft
(this also includes calling *HINT*) they will provide you the hotfix free of
charge.
