Outlook 2000 delays on Windows XP Professional

I bought new pcs with Win XP Pro and each of them are having the same
problems. When sending an email with outlook 2000 the email just sits in the
outbox for about a minute. If I click on any folder it will go right away.
The same thing happens with receiving emails. I get right away if I am
clicking around in the folders. If not it could be up to several minutes
later. I have ran all the updates from office.microsoft.com and I use
exchange 2000. On a Win 2000 Pro pc the email works just fine. I was
wondering if there is a fix for this problem or if it is something that is
being worked on. Any help would be appreciated.
