I know how to make Outlook 2000 on Win2K the default email client (Internet
explorer/ Options, etc), but for some reason if am on a web site, and I see
an email address to send an email too, and click on it, I get an error:
"could not perform operation because the default client is not installed
properly".

I've even tried to change the default in IE to Outlook Express, hitting
apply then to change it back. But, it never sticks on Outlook Express to
then
allow me to change it back to Outlook....
Can anyone help me? I'd rather not reinstall Office...

Hope you have admin rights on the system if not, Log in as administrator, and
make outlook as default email client through internet explorer/options etc...

Let me know if it works.

Yes, I have admin rights, I actually work in the IT department. I've also
tried to make the change in the registry, still no luck...

Am just trying to avoid having to reload the PC or reinstall Office...
