All Help is appreciated.

I think you need to change mode to Corporate and Network.....(I think that's
the term, not used Outlook 20000 for YEARS.......)

Also, Outlook 2000 and Vista do not play well together.

Change the installation mode to Corporate/Workgroup and it MAY work. It's not
compatible with Vista.

Thank Guys for the help !

I did change to Corp and it seems to work. I really wanted it
for the Calendar function and of course Office for their functions.
Office portion works fine. Can't really afford the upgrade and
Works just doesn't compare to Office.

I'm still hooked on my Outlook Express for mail. Wish there was
a program out there that has copied Outlook Express so it would
work with IE. I really liked the way you could have separate folders and
direct incoming e-mails to their folder, and being able to have
extra e-mail addresses being received at one place. I've seen
Windows Live Mail (?) but it leaves a lot to be desired compared
to good old Outlook Express. Wonder why Microsoft didn't keep
it or re-invent it since so many people really loved it.

wab.dll ? Read the following. Known issue

If you only need it for calendar, you really should look at the Windows
Calendar that comes with Vista or Windows Live Mail client that includes a
calendar. Both calendars are very similar to Outlook 2007's.

Windows Live Mail _is_ Outlook Express "reinvented". Everything OE can do,
WLM can do, plus it has some additional features, like being able to access
Windows Live calendars.

Brian, I didn't see an where I could add personal Local Folders and then do
a msg
rule to put an incoming e-mail into a specific folder ?
Also, is my e-mail on my hard driver like Outlook Express or the MS servers
?
This is what I was trying to accomplish in Outlook but couldn't do it.
Thanks!

If this is a question about Windows Live Mail, then you'll need to ask in the
WLM newsgroup.

Yes and yes.
This is what I was trying to accomplish in Outlook but couldn't do it.

You started asking about Outlook 2000 on Vista and you've been cautioned that
that may not work reliably. You can certainly access Live Mail using POP,
which will download messages to your local folders. Configure Outlook to
leave copies of messages on the server and you'll have them in both places.
You won't be able to access the Live Mail calendar or contacts, however.

No, this is a questions about Outlook. The folders I want to do is.........
DSG (Main Folder
Rugs (sub-folder under DSG)
Mohawk (subfolder under Rugs)
Tamarin (subfolder under Rugs)
I could do this in the old Outlook Express.Found I can do with Vista Mail
bit when I add a subfolder I have to go through all the folders and
subfolders.
In OE6 I could just go the main folder and then put it in a subfolder. All
the
main folders stayed closed. I was told Outlook would do this.
Thanks !

To add a folder use File>New>Folder and add it anywhere in the tree you wish.
To create a rule to put a message in a folder, use Tools>Rules and Alerts.
There is an action for moving a message to a folder. You can specify any
folder in your tree by expanding the tree and selecting the one you want. Is
this what you mean? Keep in mind you may run into problems with Outlook 2000
on Vista, but I don't think this is an area that has problems.

Thanks for everyone for trying to help.
I gave up on making this work and went back to my XP laptop.
I was able to change the ram between the two so now my XP runs just as
fast.
