Outgoing Mail problem with Windows Mail

We set up our new PC with Windows Mail and it worked fine for days. Now we
receive inbound messages but get this error message when sending mail - The
connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'mail.roadrunner.com', Server: 'mail.roadrunner.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have tried to check and uncheck the box about secure password. Neither
works. It worked fine for over a week.

Tried that, it wasn't the server. I found the problem. New pc came with
trial version of Norton security. I downloaded Mcafee and the two conflicted
enough to cause the problem. When I removed Norton, I was able to send
emails again. Thanks for your help.

You'll be back. McAfee causes as many problems with Windows Mail
as Norton. You should have asked for advice here before purchasing
McAfee.
