Out of Office not replying to members of DL

I have tested it and found that the Out of Office Assistant is not responding
when a user sends an email to an internal DL where a member(s) of this DL has
turned on their Out Of Office Assistant.

Is this by design or is there a setting somewhere that controls this behavior?

Have also looked for such a setting in Outlook.

Hi Irene,

There is an option in DL attributes to control this behavior.

-- Open ADUC, if you are using Windows 2000 AD, select View/"Advanced
Features" to enable advanced tab
-- Open the properties pane of this DL, switch to "Exchange Advanced" tab
-- Check this option "Send OOF messages to originator"

Hope it helps.
