Out of Memory Message

I download a lot of music from one of the News Groups. With my last computer and Win98 and 128 of ram I could tell the computer to download and I could go to bed and it would work all night. With my new WinXP machine and 248 of ram I get an out of memory message after about 15 minutes and Agent shuts down. The message is from something callled SmartHeap. I can't find this program even witrh the most aggressive search so I don't know how to get rid of it. I have tried running a FreeMoreRam program that keeps freeing ram continuously, and when Smartheap shuts me down, that program indicates I have plenty of ram. I am lost at what to do

It just seems that if this never happened with my Win98 machine, Why does it happen with the new XP machine?

Downloading large music files is my main use, and it is almost pointless if I have to sit in front of the computer and keep having this thing Smartheap force me to restarti Agent evert 15 minutes

I am praying that one of the experts on this group can help me

You've picked up a lot of spyware and possibly some viruses from your
downloading. This doesn't have anything to do with the operating system
being WinXP. Remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to
update these programs before running them. It is best to run antivirus
and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. Be sure you have a current av
installed and keep its definitions updated.

Start by getting rid of that FreeMoreRAM, which may well be the cause.
SmartHeap sounds like another of the breed, and may be getting loaded as
a result of some Tweaking program you have run
