Contrary to popular belief, not all windows users are stupid.
A pointless post in here as its noobs who need to know about this...

The OP only warns so it's never pointless post. If you want to react
on posts please do so on those stupid anti-Corliss posts, that's a
waste of time/bandwith/electrons/....

;)
Being a Windows user myself, I never said, implied nor indicated in
any manner whatsoever that anyone was stupid as the OP stated.
Everyone, however, remains ignorant of many things at many times.
Some people apparently have ego's so fragile and lots of hot air to
expel. Such posters are best ignored as they demonstrate what they
accuse others of doing. Thanks "Gert van der Kooij". Plain simple
English isn't difficult for some to understand, and everyone was at
one time a 'newbie' and remains so about many things.

*Informed* users are aware of what's happening, guy. See how that works?

Ah-so, your interpretation makes no sense. Clue: don't fail = success.

IMO, it means that it is often the knowledge and experience gained from
previous failures that leads to success.
I am no comp techie, but I learn to learn from my mistakes
No one is allowed to touch my system since tech support sucks
I learn how to protect myself while surfing and learn how to keep my
system in shape

I can see how dealing with a computer full of viruses would teach you
something, but most people would prefer to avoid that method of learning.

those salesman seems to know a lot more than I do, but I don't listen

"Handsome-looking" is no indication of intelligence or of knowledge. Maybe
it's the vacant expression, the nose-picking, and the "I voted for Dubya"
bumper sticker stuck to your forehead that gives you away.

If the salesmen seem to know a lot more than you do, maybe you oughta
listen.

Indeed I do!!!

I didn't win that one,
Childish games of 'win-lose' aren't part of my life! I've outgrown such long
ago..
such a waste of time and without anything constructive other than a fleeting
ego-trip.

I've no problem with the 'ups and downs' of the group, however, it is planting
season and I've much better and constructive things to do with my time - it is
PRECIOUS!

Apparently unlike some in this ng, I don't have twenty hours per day to waste
reading
ngs. I work 12-15 hours per day and ng reading is very selective, though I do
spend
more time in ngs than on any other aspect of the computer (with the exception of a
given
project that's being worked on).

;) Whatever turns your crank! Have at it, but I shall remain selective in whose
posts
I used my time reading. Some posters in each ng are worth ones' time, others
aren't.

it's not a matter of winning or losing
apparently you missed my point in my initial response
there are plenty of misinformation in the Internet

I was merely pointing out that the info you provided is already known by
many and really serves no purpose
(read as an insult to the intelligence of the people who hang around here)

try doing a search on "MS send fraud email updates" and read all the sites

Name me one who spends 20 hours reading ngs....................

grow up

since you already put me on your killing list, you will not see this post,
but I am shall you have supporters who supprt your view and rebuts my
response
then you will have a chance to read this thread
unless........................................
you want to PLONK everyone who responds to my post

heh heh <vbg>

Every two weeks is good enough for me, and I don't use a resident scanner
either. Been doing that for six years and in all that time I've only found
4 or 5 viruses and my computer's never been infected by one. Pretty much
the same deal for spyware and malware.
