OT - Pro-Charge 900

This isn't computer related, but I didn't knnow which newsgroup to use, so
I'm asking here:

Does anyone have a Pro-Charge 900 battery charger/compressor? We have
one, and it won't recharge. No clue why not. Any ideas? There was no
manual in the box, and I can't find one online anywhere.

Thanks for any help.

Is it new? That is, has it ever been able to recharge? If so, have
you let it completely drain several times so the battery(s) might now
be shorted internally? If not (ever able to recharge), have you
checked for battery leads that aren't attached to the battery? Do you
have access to the battery? If so, do you have a multimeter so you
could check battery for voltage and when the unit is plugged in, check
battery leads for charge current?

It has recharged before. This is the first time it has drained this far -
we haven't needed to use it recently. It was always recharged after each
use, as per the instructions on the unit.

I don't see any way to access the inside of the unit to check the things
you mention.

It would seem as though getting inside the casing is a prerequisite to
fixing it.
