Download Helper quit working on Firefox 25. Was wondering if others
were having issues. Sorry this is OT, but don't know who else to ask.

I have it installed on Firefox v4, 23, 24, and 26 and I haven't noticed
any problems yet.

I have it on 25.0.1 (I've stopped updating), and it hasn't quit, if by
that you mean stopped working altogether; it doesn't work too well on
all pages, but certainly hasn't quit (I think I used it yesterday).

mozilla.support.firefox is probably the most productive place to ask
this sort of thing. (You need to sign up to the mozilla newsserver, but
that's free, and - depending what news client you're running - shouldn't
stop 'groups obtained from other servers from continuing to work.)

The news.mozilla.org nntp server doesn't require any logon credentials.

Well, _posting_ in some of the 'groups - e. g. m.s.f - does require at
least some sort of registration, as they are moderated, and the
moderator needs to know where to send friendly warnings. The
mozilla.general 'group at least is not moderated.

I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much
more *interesting* to live not knowing than to have answers which might be
wrong. - Richard Feynman, in 1981 Horizon interview

It may be true that some of those groups are moderated, but I posted to
mozilla.support.firefox last August and no registration or logon was
needed for me to do so at that time. Maybe things have changed since
then.
