OS System language

You don't say what vista version you have!-
You need Ultimate to do it.

If you have a German Home Premium, upgrade it with a German Upgrade to
Ultimate, then download the English Language pack to change vista to English.

Vista Ultimate Edition allows the language to be changed once installed,
otherwise no. You'd have to reinstall in the desired language.

To change language you need Vista Ultimate and the relevant Multi User
language pack

To change the language of an OS you need to install the OS in the language of your
choice

If you have Vista Ultimate then you can change the language on the Toolbars and what
you see in the Window of the App that you are using only.

You are not able to change the language as an Example (Registry,Installation files,
Files in Windows Explorer , help files and etc, etc.

There seems to be a myth that you can choose the OS language in Vista at
installation time. I have installed Home Premium, Business and Ultimate and
found this to be not true. Only in Ultimate was I able to install language
packs from Windows Update -after- install had been completed, and then later
switch the OS language to one that I had downloaded.

I even looked on the DVDs for language directories, and all I found was
"en-us".
