I'm running WinXP SP2 and can't install the original C&C.
I changed SETUP.EXE to run in combatibility mode for Win95. I would try putting the C&CGOLD patch to see if it would work (though I don't have the Gold version), but when I try to run SETUP.EXE, the DOS screen comes up and I get the message "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application" with options of "Close" and "Ignore." Nothing happens, regardless of which I choose.
What do I do?
