Opening with IE instead of Netscape

Guest

I am using Win98SE. Explorer is our main browser. I also have Netscape
installed on the computer because I use Composer. I saved a link that had
been opened in IE. It has changed to Netscape and opens in that now. How do I
get it to open in Internet Explorer? I do not want to remove Netscape from
the computer.
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Hi,

Setting Internet Explorer as your default browser is easy.

Just follow these steps:

Close all windows.
Open Internet Explorer.
Click on Tools, then Internet Options to bring up the Internet Options settings
box.
Click on the Programs Tab.
Click on the check box, "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the
default browser".
Click on OK to save your changes and exist Internet Options.
Close your present Internet Explorer window.

Open a new window. If IE is not the default browser, it will alert you and allow
you to set it as such.

Hope this helps - if it doesn't, please reply to this post,

Hi Elizabeth :)

No need to uninstall Netscape:

or..

Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser -
option does not work:

Hope this helps :)
