opening windows ppt on mac

I've got a Windows PowerPoint 2003 presentation with lots of jpegs and some .wmv movies. 1. What version of PowerPoint for the Mac can open and view this file? 2. What version of the Mac viewer is needed to view this file?

I realize that Macs won't be able to view the .wmv movies, but I'd like Mac people to be able to view the rest of the presentation. Thanks.

The file format is identical for all versions of PowerPoint on any
platform since version 97, so versions 98 (Mac) and later (2001, X,
2004) should be able to open the file.

2. What version of the Mac viewer is needed to view this file?

98, the only currently available version.

I realize that Macs won't be able to view the .wmv movies,

WMV movies can be read by Windows Media Player, they just don't work
embedded inside PowerPoint presentations. If it is essential that the
user see the movie, send it along separately.

Thanks for the terrific info. The info on the compatible Mac version was just what I needed, and it was quite a bonus to learn that there was a Windows Media Player for the Mac. Thank you kindly.
