Opening .tif files in MS Access Runtime 2003

We have an MS Access project running under MS Access 2003 Runtime. One
of our users is having problems opening a .tif file for viewing.

The .tif file names/locations are stored in a SQL table, and opened
using an Access Report.

This works for all other users, and this user can open the .tif file ok
from windows explorer (uses Microsoft Document Imaging).

Users are on Windows XP.

The Access Runtime doesn't include graphics filters to display TIFF files.
You must install a component of the Office suite that does include the
graphics filters, or install a graphics program that is capable as an OLE
server, or install an ActiveX control that handles graphics files for Access
Runtime applications.

IIRC, the TIFF filter was removed from the graphics filter distribution some time ago, so you'd need to
seek out an old version that still includes it. I tried this a while ago, and it was not easy, but I think
there was a site in Germany that still had a copy. If you go this route you may also need to prevent this
old version from being updated with a newer one that doesn't include TIFF support, eg by disabling automatic
updates. You should also note that some of the graphics filter updates are to fix potential 'security
flaws', so you should asses your vulnerability to the issues that these updates address.
