Opening .PPS in full screen mode...from a hyperlink?

Hi,

This is just a minor issue...but I was wondering how I could open a .PPS
file in full screen mode...when I just hyperlinked it from a Word document .
The .PPS file does not open "normally"...and is sort of inside a "browser",
rather than covering the entire screen the way it usually does when it is
clicked directly...

Did I miss doing something? in PPT? or in Word? (sorry, if this happens to
be a Word newsie issue).

Thanks for any suggestions!

Check to see whether the presentation is set to "Browsed by an individual
(window)". If it is, change it to Presented by a speaker.

Thanks...but it didnt work...that option can be set thru SlideShow -->Set Up
Show right?
I checked and it is on full screen mode...actually, it's the default i
think...
Actually, it works fine if I just open the .PPS file directly without
clicking on a hyperlink from a Word doc...

Any more suggestions?

Hi,

I would have thought Sonia's idea would have worked. But I have tested it
and the same thing happens here. When I get the window, though, there is the
option to right click on the slideshow and select Full Screen. And the
behaviour is the same even if you hyperlink to a ppt file ;-(

Hmmm...What a useless option, imho! I'll have to think about this one. There
is a work around. that is you can do it by inserting the object from file
and linking there. There is a tutorial on doing this in the following link.
But it is designed to work in a window, which is what you don't want. So
leave the slideshow set up to run in full screen.

and look for the link to Powerful Integration. If you don't want it to
appear as a picture, you can display it as an icon. I'll keep thinking about
the other issue though.
