opening more than 1 web page at a time

I have IE 6. w/ XP Pro. I can't open more than 1 web site
at a time.

I downsize the web page I'm at and it takes me back to my
desk top. I then double click on my IE icon on my desk
top, but nothing happens. If I close the open web page I
can then open a different web page.

Is there some setting I need to change?

try moving internet explorer icon to the launch bar right
next to [start] button.....i had the same problem and
this solved it....also it is single pick to open.

Yes, I did and that's the problem. I can easily fix it.
