Opening IE maximized

When I used to right click a link in Internet Explorer and click open in new
window it came up maximized. Now I'm coming up in a normal window sized
very small. How would I reset this to maximized?
Thanks,
Ed

Close all IE windows, but the new one you just opened. Then use the mouse
to resize that window to almost maximized. Use File, Close to exit that
window and the setting will be retained. IE remembers the size of the last
closed window.

This is working great, but is there a way to make the new window open up
maximized?
Also, is there a way to change the default folder IE saves photos to? Mine
always defaults to My Documents.

Trial and error, most of the time, Ed :) And right now, I don't have an
answer for either of your other questions. IE defaults to My Pictures here.

Now this is interesting. If I right-click on a picture in IE and
choose save as .... then the default location of My Pictures comes
up. But if I then select a different location (say Desktop) then the
NEXT time I open IE and go to save a picture, Desktop has become the
default location ......

It should remember it, until you close IE. Then it will default back to My
Pictures. Again, this is probably cleared when the "last" IE window is
closed.

Not in my case, Doug. My default has been changed to Desktop - and
has remained to Desktop. My system has been powered down in the
meantime, so this change seems to be holding. Now I wonder what is
different about my system from yours in this respect ....
