When I double click a link to a URL instead of opening normally
maximized, as before, it opens a randomly placed floating task bar on
the desk top and also places it on the task bar at the bottom of the
screen. The floating one has dark background incicating a minimied
condition and the one on the task bar has a white back ground
indicating an open link. A single click on the task bar open link
recalls the floating link and the task bar link now indicates a
minimzed link. Right clicking and choosing maximize opens the link
full screen where I used to go on first clicking the link. I'm not
aware of anything I did to change the settings and I have searched the
help screens uithout success. Choosing the "Restore Defaults" didn't
help.
I'm using Windows ME and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.
