IE 6 Pages Only Open Minimized

Hi, can you please help?

I'm running Win XP Pro on an Intel 3.2 system. On
clicking an external link in IE6 a new page opens. It
used to open maximized, now it's always minimised and I
have to right click it on the task bar and choose
maximise. Simply left-clicking the minimized page on the
task bar has no effect. "Advanced" option is set NOT
to "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
