Open/Convert Works Database .wdb file in Access

I am running Windows XP Professional. I am running MS Works Version 7 and
MS Access 2003. I need to open or convert and use fully a Works Database
file .wdb in MS Access. Any ideas? Thanks very much.

I believe you must export the file from Works to a format that Access
can read.

Thanks. Please tell me what that would be. I have tried .dbf IV and it
doesn't carry the table with it.

I would have expected the dBase format to work. What do you mean by "doesn't
carry the table with it"?

You could try exporting to comma-delimited (.csv): at least that way you can
look at what's in the file.

Chris,

I was actually asked to do something like this yesterday, and discovered the
following link:
How to Import a Works for Windows Database to MS Access
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/93429/en-us

I ended up not using the information due to the fact that there turned out
to be such a small amount of data in the Works DB, it only took a few minutes
to enter it manually. But maybe you will find the info somewhat useful.
