You never open PST files from Windows Explorer. You open them in Outlook
using these complicated steps:
File > Open > Outlook Data File...

All you had to do if you didn't want to answer was simply ignor my question
but to answer with a condescending smart ar*e reply was not what I would have
hoped for.

Thanks for you information anyway, but it's a shame that it wasn't given in
the way in which I had answered thousands of questions in this forum -i.e.
politely.

Oh give it a rest. Can't you take a joke? Why does everything always have to
be so serious?

This wasn't an off day. It was simply an attempt at humor. Let's face it.
Outlook is the most contrary program on Microsoft's planet. None of the
rules that applies to other Microsoft applications applies to Outlook. For
all other programs you can double click one of its files to launch the
application and open the file. Not Outlook. For every other application you
can overwrite a file to replace it. Not Outlook. The list of Outlook's
idiosyncrasies is endless. That's why when Outlook actually offers an easy
and obvious way to do what you want, it is a cause for celebration which was
the intent of my comment.
