Open A Program Automatically At Startup

There are lots of answers to "starting" a program at startup; no
problem. But what I want to do is OPEN a program at startup. When the
computer boots up, my email program would be automatically opened,
started and ready to go without further ado.

Can this be done in XP?

You'll have to clarify the distinction a bit further. They seem identical to
me.

"Start" and "open" normally mean the same thing in this regard. If you mean
something different by the two terms, please clarify.
