Only one letter appears on top bar

I just downloaded Windows XP to replace my Millenium Edition.

The problem is at the top of the Internet Explorer bar (I don't know what
it's called; channel bar? task bar?) only the first letter of that website
appears.

Instead of New York Times the top blue bar will only say, "N". When I'm on
ESPN it only says, "E". What gives?

Thanks!!

Title Bar Truncation
Title bar may contain garbage characters
Title bar truncated to 1 character.

Do you have the Google Desktop bar installed?
If so, try uninstalling/reinstalling it.
It has been reported to sometimes produce truncation of the title bar
text.
