Old email address won't go away!

I have an unusual problem... I have a friend who's email address changed, so
I changed the email address under his contact info. Now, when I type an
email and want to send it to him, if I type his "Nickname" (in this case his
full name), the default address for this nickname is the OLD address. I
have searched high and low within outlook for his old address to eradicate
it, but cannot find it anywhere. How can I make outlook see the new address
as the default instead of the old address?

I have:

XP Pro SP1
P4 2.0 MHz (laptop)
512M RAM
40G HD
Outlook XP (as part of Office XP)

Autocompletion uses a cache, not your Address Book. Remove individual
addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting the entry when
presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to migrate to the
entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of the field. To
clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
