Old domain name remains after migration

We have upgraded from NT 4.0 to 2003 server, the domain was called "DOMAIN"
in 4.0 (This was done long before I started with the company). When we did
the migration we did a domain name change at that time to dewittstern.com,
however remnants of the old domain name "DOMAIN" remain in the system. This
has become a big problem now for our new agency management integration. What
can I do to remove all remnants of the old domain from our system?
