The Error is :
Task 'Bruce - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your
e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in
your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server
responded: ?? user password must be specified'
OL 2002 has started asking me for a password every time it starts. It will
retain the password during a session, but as soon as you close outlook, the
password goes away.....
I have tried the KB article 290684, deleting the keys under the Protected
Storage key to no avail. After following these instructions, the PSP
subkeys are not recreated.
There are 3 accounts all going to the same comcast POP3 server. I have
removed 2 of them from the Send receive group list so I am troubleshooting
only one account.
I have reinstalled office from the ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS in CONTROL PANEL
(note that I did not remove office, just used the reinstall feature of
widows installer) and verified all office updates are installed through Post
SP3
I am at a loss.
