Offline OST File error in Outlook 2007 Beta

Damon

Hi Folks,

Just rebooted my machine and opened outlook and received this error:

"Outlook is using an old copy of your offline folder file (.ost). Exit
outlook, delete the .ost file, and restart outlook. A new file will be
automatically created the next time you initiate a send/receive."

Any ideas around cause, fix, etc.

Thanks folks

Damon

The fix is exactly what the message said. Use a new OST file.

This is way past BETA now and still doesn't always fix the problem

I delete the ost file. I do a search of the entire system just in case there is another one. Every time I do this it fixes the problem for one time. Next time I boot up and start outlook the same problem happens. Can anyone tell me how to stop outlook from creating the file all together? I tried denying permissions to the file just to see what happens and outlook won't even open unless I let it access the ost file. I'm not working off line and don't want an ost file. I already have a archive to save data.

Thanks for any solution to this
