I was really surprised when I decided to test it. It was even installed
after all my previous versions of Office were co-installed on the same
machine (they were installed in the proper order.) Office (O) 97 Pro,
O-2000 SBE, O-XP S&T, O-2003 Pro, O-2007 H&S versions. Haven't been able to
find a free version of O-95 yet but I hope I can find someone to donate a
legal copy. Have all installed on XP laptop that I use in training. I don't
think I would want to use the O-4.3 programs for production however since it
may have some areas that I haven't tested that won't work. My next test is
going to be to install my copy of Word 2.0 on the laptop to see if it also
works.
I also have Publisher 2.0, 98 & 2003 currently co-installed on the laptop
and they all work as expected. Need the 98 since 03 won't read all the 2.0
files I still have and use which I have to convert for those people that
have only 03 or 07 Publisher.

Heck, even Office 4.3 (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0c, & PPT 4.0c) works in XP
without
even using compatibility mode. Haven't tried any of the O 4.3 programs
in
Vista yet.
Thanks for the addition. I didn't know that.
