off-line web pages

Hello.
I'm experiencing a new problem, probably related to the settings of the
off-line content space allocation.
When I synchronize the 8 web pages I want to read off-line, everything is
just fine (I can see those pages in off-line mode) till I reboot.
When I reopen my IE 6.0.2800.1106 (updated), those web pages are not
available off-line anymore.
They are in my favorites list, but the small link (shortcut - bottom left
corner) is gone and it was there before I turned the PC off.
The size of those pages when saved is 1.5MB and the off-line content space
allocation is 40MB.
Where is the problem then?
It was working just fine up to a few days ago: is there any
other setting I need to adjust?
One more (minor) thing: I always had the MyMSN page set as my home page and
it was logging in automatically when I opened my browser.
That doesn't happen anymore: I have to sign in (and I click the box for the
automatic log in), but even after that I don't get the MyMSN page.
All I get is a white page and in the very top left corner I can read the
link http://my.msn.com/
It's not clickable, so I have to type www.msn.com and when I get there, I
click on the MyMSN link.
This is something very new and very annoying: any advises?
Thanks.

Even though they were downloaded for offline use they are still
subject to expiry and non-cacheability if that is the way that they
are marked.

It wouldn't take that long for the page to be changed
to make it non-cacheable... ;) E.g. can you clone them
in a new window (press Ctrl-N)?

Somebody who has webwasher (IIRC) remarked
that it seemed to remove such impediments and thus made his
offline browsing usable with more pages. I have no experience
with the product.

Post a link if want to discuss a particular example.

For your other problem I suggest you try first try pressing Ctrl-F5
but if that doesn't help you may have to clear your TIF including
"all offline content" if that site is one of your saved Favorites.
Unfortunately that will affect your offline web pages too.

Good luck

Robert
