geeze there are more updates then normal
especially windows 7 which is suppose to be (cough cough) more secure
Anyone besides you 2 have any problems? I am doing mine today

I've no doubt that Windows 7 is more secure, but, apparently, not perfect.
When a software product as complex as Windows is perfect, with regard to
security, at least, I suppose I'll retire!

Somebody looked carefully at the pattern of security updates, and observed
that there is a clear pattern of low volume release in one month followed by
a larger volume in the following month--so this is worth taking notice of
and preparing for.

The only thing I have observed about this months updates is that they take
longer than "usual" to apply, I think primarily due to the dot net updates.

I haven't had any trouble with them so far, but when the dot net stuff goes
awry, it can require significant effort to fix, so watch out.

I always do the .net updates separately and separately from each other to
avoid problems

Yeah, the estimated 18 mins was closer to an hour all told, and that's
on a connection that typically downloads at 3-15 mbps and an Athlon
64X2 computer.

It took less than 10 minutes on my Windows 7. AMD X2 250 processor 3
GHs 64 bit OS.
