NVIDIA not shutting down

When I shut down my computer I get a window indicating
that NVIDIA twinview window is shuting down. Once the
bars track accross the window indicating shut down. The
window remains with a message that NVIDIA is not
responding and I must manually click on "end now" to
complete the shut down.

Are you using two monitors? If not, you don't need to run the Nvidia
twinview program.
