Numbers Do Not Display In Access Reports

Hi All.

I have a curious problem. On my machine, when I preview reports and / or print reports, any numbers that should be displayed (either within the data fields or directly typed as labels etc) do not show up. Rather a blank space is there instead of the number. eg If in the design window I have a label as "ABC123XYZ", what will show up on the preview and the actual print is "ABC XYZ"!

I am working in a corporate office with many similar machines supplied by a reputable company. I have the same problem on some other machines as well (but not all machines exhibit this problem).

In all cases, we are using MS ACCESS 2000, Windows 2000 Professional, on fairly modern machines (mostly P4's).

I have tried completely uninstalling Microsoft Office and reinstalling to no avail.

I hope one of you guys can help us with this problem.

Thanks - Mark O.

What font are you using? Have you checked to see if you have the most recent video and
printer drivers? Right off hand, I would suspect the video driver.

Mark,

The symptoms you describe appear to match a rather unique problem which
occurs occasionally. It was resolved by "Guylaine" earlier this year.
Following is a complete copy of his post.

Begin quoted material:
The fix is quite simple but still strange ...

For some reason the registry key 1025 is set to ON (concerning arabic
language) and the arabic language is not taken care of ...

You either turn it OFF :
Key : HKEY_USERS\<<user
identity>>\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\LanguageRessources\1025
(As to be done for every user on the machine)

or install the arabic language (good for everyone):
Control Panel
Regional settings
General tab
Check the arabic language
Accept and reboot

I found it on Microsoft French site KB469516:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://www.microsoft.com/intl
kb/france/articles/F19/5/16.asp

If you have the problem I'm sure you can read french !!

Take care

Guylaine

This fix really works. I just added the Arabic language to my machine, and now the reports print numbers just fine. Thank you.
