Numbering and also DVD

I have a folder of 200 pictures I took in Italy. I have them numbered in the
manner--01,02,03,04 ---10,11, etcbut when i try to import them into a slide
show program they come out so that after 09 comes 100 rather than 10 and so
on. How do I need to number them so that they will stay in the order I want
and can this be done as a batch or do I have to renumber each picture?

Second question

I would like to put these pictures on a DVD to play in a DVD player on the
TV. Is there a way to do this without using some kind of slide show program (
I have tried trials of a couple of these and don't like them) ?

Thanks for any suggestions or help

I would suggest adding more zeros.

0010
0100

Maybe the following article will be useful:

Movie Maker 2 and Photo Story 3 - Organize Pictures

If your DVD player is JPEG compatible...
you can burn JPEG files on a CD and
the DVD player will do a slideshow.

Otherwise...you need authoring software
to create a video disk...there are lots of
choices...Nero, Roxio, ProShow Gold.
WinDVD, etc.....
