Numbered Business Cards

I need to insert individual and sequencial numbers on over 400 business
cards. Can I do this at once, without having to layout the cards on the
template and then going back to number each card. I would like the numbers
to appear at the top right corner of each business card.

If you're using one of the Avery standard business card templates (e.g.,
8371), it's simple. From within the Envelopes and Labels dialog window,
select the template you want and then click on "New Document" to create a
whole page table with cells the correct size. Then just use autonumbering.
Create the card one time, with the top line numbered and right justified.
Then create 400 of them in a multipage table.

You could also use mail merge technique. Create a data field such as Excel
with the numbers and place the field where you want. It also works easily in
Publisher. I have done this with business cards to make tickets.

You could also do this with a mail merge. It's easiest to create a string of
400 numbers in Excel (using AutoFill).
