Number of User Shell Folders limited to 5 ?

B

Bob

I am using a WinXP(SP2) system with six user accounts.

It appears that MSAS limits the number of managed
"User Shell Folders" (under Real-Time Agents ->
System Agents) to the first five (alphabetical)
user accounts on the system.

Has anyone experienced a similar limitation?

As a work-around, I deactivated the "User Shell Folder"
checkpoint, so that MSAS would not post alerts about a
change in the "User Shell Folder" whenever the sixth
user logs onto the system.

For some reason MSAS does not recognize the sixth
user account as one of the "Allowed User Shell Folders".
Similarly, it is not recognized as one of the
"Blocked User Shell Folders", either.

Bob,

What is the error message you receive when you add the sixth user account?

Steve,

When you log out of one of the first five user accounts,
and into the sixth user account (which in this case
is "Tyler"), the following pop-up message is displayed by
MSAS:

A Change to the Default User Folders Requires Approval

Microsoft AntiSpyware has detected your default user
folder (shell folder) Personal attempting to be changed
from E:\User Documents\Bob to E:\User Documents\Tyler.

Shell folders are special folders that Windows uses to
indicate the default location for many types of settings
and data.

Advise: Unless you have specifically made this change the
change should be blocked.

Bob
