Number of frames/sec

When capturing my movie from my Panasonic DV Camcorder using save as DV-AVI
I notice it says 25 frames per second but using the "best quality for
playback on my computer" mode is it 30 frames/sec but a greater reduced file
size.

I am using save as DV-AVI as the final burn is onto DV. Do I need to make
any changes anywhere?

Seems normal - assuming you are using the PAL option and not NTSC.
