Number of files supported by Windows Media Player

I checked the FAQs and didn''t see my question. The
question I have is "How many cds/mp3 tracks
will Media Player support ?"

I have over 1700+ cds that I am in the process of ripping
at 192 kbps. I have purchased a 200 GB
hard drive that I am dedicating for my mp3s. I have
noticed that as I add more tracks the file
browser start to slow down especially if I sort the
albums by artist or album name.

I just want to know what the specs are so that I can
plan accordingly.

It will support as many tracks as you wihs. the only problem is the more
you try and load into the player the slower it will be. not really any way
around this. you can try sorting your tracks in smaller set's of folders.
