ntldr missing, <Windows root>\System

ok, here's the deal...

The husband decided to format the HD through windows explorer when

it was used as a slave drive. Yes, clicked format right in windows

explorer on that drive. So there is no o/s on the HD. I removed the old master and set the jumpers for this other HD to master but keep

getting "NTLDR Missing and <Windows root>System 32hal.dll Please

reinstall a copy of the above file". This is a bigger HD than what he had

as the master before so he wanted to reformat it and use it as the master

drive. Can anyone tell me where I go from here? how can I get an o/s back on this HD? Is it even possible?

what operating system?

you are good for a woman, to open the thing up and mess around with the hard drive :p

You'll need a operating system installation CD . If its a Windows OS CD then you just put it in your cd drive and follow the on screen instructions .
