NTLDR, could not...

I had the same message when I tried upgrading from ME to
XP. But I thought it was my computer because a week
earlier, my computer couldn't load ME all of a sudden. It
just left that error message "NTLDR, could not open
drive...". I had been planning on getting a new large
drive and upgrade to XP anyway so I figured to get around
it that way. Only to find the same message after. And I
know it's not a disk left in a drive....
