When i on my pc, it gives the following error on start up
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt
System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the
original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen start repair.

I did that but don't know how to repair the file. Can someone please help
soon.

Thanks

In the case of OEM disks, as encountered with notebooks, the recovery disk
is made by 3rd party software, such as Ghost, PQ and so on.
In this case, the ntfs.sy_ is located in a buried and inaccessible file.

How do you restore the file then?

At the prompt that results give the command (where x: is the CD letter)
COPY x:\i386\ntfs.sys C:\windows\system32\drivers\

That i386 is letter I, number 386
