NT4.0 to AD 2003 Users and groups info

Wow I am kinda embarrassed to ask this question but I really need some
clarification please.

I have a nt4 domain with exchange 5.5 and I moved most of my users to AD
2003. I ran the ADC and dumped recipients to a OU and I also ran ADMT and
dumped it into a Diff OU.

I CAN use the ADC Recipients as my New AD User accts right? I just cant use
the accts that came from ADMT right? What about the Groups that came from
ADMT? WHen I shut down my nt4.0 Domain, I am going to lose those groups
right? Or can I use the ADMT groups that were rbought over from NT4.0 even
after I shut down the domain? I am kinda confused and I am thinking I
totally screwed up on this.

In Summary

My NEW AD 2003 users are actually the accts that came from the ADC connection

Some of the Global Groups I am now using came from ADMT. Do I need to
recreate these groups in AD?

How can I tell if these objects are indeed validate AD Objects and not just
a replication that will get lost after I shut down the NT 4.0 Domain.

Thanks a ton in advance for your reply.

Yes, you can use the new groups. Did you already migrate the computer
accounts over and run the security translator too? That will move the
computer accounts over to the new domain and allow the new user accounts to
use their current profiles on their workstations.

What about Exchange? Is this a migration or an upgrade? Is Exchange 2003 or
2000 installed on the new domain or into the same upgraded domain/forest?

If an upgrade, and you've already migrated your users and groups, you are
ready to move your mailboxes over to the new domain. If in the same Org, you
can simply use the move mailbox method. Outlook will query AD to find the
mailbox moved to the new server.

If a migration, you can use Exmerge two step process to move (actually copy)
the mailboxes over.
