NT On-Access Scanner Service

I periodically receive this error message on start-up:
NT On-Access Scanner Service has encountered a problem
and needs to close. Please send Microsoft an error
report. I always do but never receive a patch or reply.
My op sys is Windows XP for Home.

That error is being generating my your McAfee antivirus
application. Consult McAfee's support for assistance.
