Notified when a program is installed on my pc

Dear all,
I was wondering whether there is a way to get notified (e.g., by email) when
someone installs a program on my computer (e.g., a keylogger). Can this be
done without the installer know about it?

Nothing that I know of. You might try googling. However, why not just do
everything you can to ensure that this doesn't happen?
