notepad will not launch

When I double click on a .txt file notepad does not launch
atomaticaly.
Does any one have a clue why this happens?
The only way I can open a .txt file (or any other file through
notepad) is by first running notepad and using the file-->open menu.

Right click on any text file
Go t o Open With > Choose Progra

Choose Notepad from the list.
Check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this type of file
Click Ok.

Hi,

This seems to be due to a current update. And can be corrected by
reinstalling uxtheme.dll.
